Advice and answers from the Astro Team

Sometimes an email shouldn't be sent immediately (like the ones you write at 3:00 am), which is a perfect time to use Send Later. Send Later allows you to write your email now, but send it at a scheduled time in the future.

Mac Desktop:

  • In the compose screen, select the small clock icon next to the send button
  • Choose your delivery time from Astro's pre-set list, or customize your own in Astro > Preferences
  • Hit send, and the message will be in your Outbox until the time selected
  • To cancel a scheduled email, open the email in your Outbox folder, and select "Convert to Draft" on the popup
  • To customize the default send times in your preferences, go to Astro > Preferences > Snoozes. Note: The times you set as defaults for Send Later also apply to Snoozes.

iOS:

  • While composing a message, tap the clock icon next to the send button
  • Choose your delivery time from Astro's pre-set list, or customize your own
  • Hit send, and the message will be in your Outbox until the time selected
  • To cancel a scheduled email, open the email in your Outbox folder, and select "Convert to Draft"
