Astrobot can help you with productivity and email-related tasks. This list is growing regularly, but here are the tasks Astrobot can help you with right now (and other things you can "ask astro"). For an overview of the messages, insights, and suggested actions Astrobot sends you, check out this article.
During onboarding and anytime you type "zap", Astrobot will provide a list of suggested action to clean up your inbox and contacts.
Set a reminder
Type "Remind me to [blank] at [this time]", and you’ll get an email from yourself at that time.
Example: Remind me to order lunch at 11:45 am.
Type "List VIPs" or "Add VIPs" (coming soon) to manage your VIP list.
Send a quick email
To directly message someone at your company is also using Astro type an email address and your message.
Example: firstname.lastname@example.org hey, this a direct message that you get in Astrobot, isn't this neat?
If you request an intro to an email address, you'll get contact information including job title, social media links, and mutual Astro contacts. We integrate with FullContact to get this info, so if you don't get a result, that means social profile information is not tied to the particular email address you requested or it's not publicly available.
Type "introduce me to [company.com]" or "introduce me to [email@example.com]"
Example: Introduce me to firstname.lastname@example.org
Mutual Astro contacts
Mutual Astro contacts help you get introductions to new people via your teammates. You'll see this when you use the "intro me to" command above. If you have a mutual Astro contact, that means someone on your team (who is also using Astro) knows that person or someone at that company.
You will only see mutual Astro contacts if both you and your teammates enable contact sharing in Preferences > Assistant > Astrobot > Request and share contact information within your company.
A note on privacy: We will never share contact info with people who do not have the same company email domain. Sharing contacts does not mean your teammates can browse your address book. Once this is enabled, teammates can only see if you're connected to a person who people at another company based on an email address or company email domain they've entered into Astrobot.
